Oreo was adopted from the SPCA and joined our family on November 27, 2022. She’s a Siamese mix, now around five to six years old. She’s wary of new people, then completely unguarded once she decides you’re safe. It takes about a week, every time.
A bigger tank
A pair of parrot fish turned into a family once they had babies. They looked after them so carefully that I ended up buying a bigger tank — more room to swim, and somewhere for the young ones to get out of the way. The fish didn’t change; their environment did.
The cheapest plants grow best
I’m still learning, and the surprise so far is that the cheap supermarket plants usually outlast the expensive ones. Given light, water and enough time, most things grow — the starting point matters less than I assumed.
